Washing machines use 2 different hoses. One is intended for the hot water and the other hose is intended for the cold water.
If you use a cold water hose on a hot water side of the water inlet on the washing machine then the hose could get too hot and rupture.
Always use a set of hoses that has one hot and one cold side hose on the washing machine.
