To have a blog you'll need a platform or script to install on a web hosting account so you can write your blog posts. Wordpress is a highly recommended and highly used blogging script that most of the blogs on the internet are using.
Wordpress is very easy to install and update designs. Wordpress has a lot of easy to install plugins that will make maintaining your blog very easy.
Web Hosting Account.
For your blog to be seen around the world and for other people to connect to your wordpress blog you need a web hosting account to host your blog on.
There's many web hosts to choose from but I use hawkhost web hosting. You can also check the advertising section of http://webmasterbabble.com for other good web hosting companies for hosting your wordpress blog or other websites.
Domain Name.
Another thing in order for your blog to be accessible from the internet and to be found in search engines is a good domain name.
A domain name makes it easier for people to view your blog by using a name instead of having to type in an IP address number.
For example the domain for this website is answerpail.com
To get to this website you type in answerpail.com instead of 134.234.2123
The domain name answerpail.com contacts a name server and then connects to the correct IP address.
I use dynadot.com for my domain registrations and I pay less than $10.00 per year for the domain which is less than $1.00 per month.
Patience.
The last thing you're gonna need to earn money blogging is patience. Making money blogging won't happen overnight and will will require hard work in the beginning. Results may vary but expect to work on your blog a minimum of 5 years before seeing any good return on your work.
The money will start coming in if you work hard but you have to think of your blog as an internship where you work hard in the beginning without any pay.
But all that work in the beginning will pay off in the future for years to come.
Remember offline businesses can take 5 years or more to profit so expect your blog to take at least 5 years before you turn a profit and really start earning money from blogging.
