With it being winter it might be that the hot water pipe is cold from your water heater to your kitchen sink and by the time the hot water makes it to the sink it gets too cold.
I'd recommend insulating the hot water pipes to keep the heat in and maybe turning up the water heater temperature to get the water hotter.
