Marshmallows are not good for you because marshmallows are made of sugar and contain no nutritional value.

Although when eaten in moderation marshmallows are okay for you and not harmful.

And as a food made almost entirely of sugar, marshmallows provide no nutritional value, only calories.

Consuming too many calories devoid of good nutrition leads to weight gain and poor health.

High intakes of sweets like marshmallows may also increase your triglyceride level, which puts you at risk of heart disease, and cause cavities.

Marshmallow is a type of confectionery that is typically made from sugar, water and gelatin whipped to a solid-but-soft consistency.

It is used as a filling in baking or normally molded into shapes and coated with corn starch.

Does eating marshmallows help a cough?

Compounds processed from A. officinalis have been studied for their use as a cough suppressant and expectorant.

In a laboratory study using animals, marshmallow reduced episodes of cough by about 50%, compared with the control product of codeine, which reduced cough by 61%.
