Kawasaki Disease is indeed lifelong.

However the good news is that when you start getting symptoms of the Kawasaki Disease the symptoms usually improve and resolve within 1 or 2 months.

However the symptoms can return and it can have lifelong effects.

The actual cause of Kawasaki Disease is unknown but it's thought that Kawasaki Disease is passed down through genetics and also it may be Viral but it could also be bacterial.

People with autoimmune disorders are more likely to get Kawasaki Disease than those without.

If someone in your family such as your mother or father or even Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, Aunt etc has or had Kawasaki Disease then you might get it as well.

It's thought that what genes are what triggers Kawasaki Disease or if someone has an autoimmune disorder they are more likely to get Kawasaki Disease.

The actual cause and trigger of Kawasaki Disease is sadly unknown as of now.
