Migraines that last more than a few days or migraines that get worse or don't go away can be a sign of something more serious.

Some migraines may be a sign of a brain tumor or brain cancer but not all migraines are serious or are a sign of something more serious.

Most migraines are just annoying and painful and usually go away on their own within a day or so or within a few hours.

if your migraine lasts longer than a few days or gets worse or pain medicine such as aspirin does not make it go away then go see a doctor just to be safe.

When I have a migraine I find the best medication for my migraines is some aspirin.

I take aspirin whenever I have a migraine and within 30 minutes to an hour the migraine goes away.

Any other pain medicine or headache medicine will work great for getting rid of and treating migraines and sometimes even massaging your forehead can help ease migraines too.

Another good medication for migraines is Triptans which is a prescription headache and migraine medication that can be prescribed by your doctor.

The Triptans prescription medication is also known as sumatriptan (Imitrex, Tosymra) and rizatriptan (Maxalt) which are prescription drugs that are used for migraines.

These prescription migraine and headache medications work by blocking the pain pathways in the brain and are taken as pills, shots or nasal sprays.

When taken for the migraines or headaches they can relieve many symptoms of migraines or headaches.

There's also over the counter migraine pain management medicine which is what it is called.
