Rice that has not been cooked can last for basically nearly forever.

That is as long as you keep the rice from attracting moisture and keep the rice sealed to prevent bugs from getting into it.

Rice does not go bad for a very long time although after several years in storage the rice may change colors and start to lose it's nutrients.

I've had rice that was uncooked stored for 8 years before at the back of my pantry and it was still good to eat.

You just want to keep the rice in a cool dry place so that the rice does not absorb moisture because rice does have the ability to absorb moisture.

If the rice absorbs moisture then it will go bad and get moldy.

But dry rice should not get moldy.

Cooked rice will last about 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator and to reheat cooked rice just add some more water to the rice and put it in the microwave for a few minutes.
