Other types of Jello Instant pudding are not vegetarian and contain gelatin.
Jello itself is also not vegetarian as it does contain pork because the Jello uses protein from the bones after the pork bones are boiled.
The protein then turns into gelatin through an extraction process.
Even Marshmallows contain pork through the use of extracted protein from the bones.
I never knew that myself until my dad told me about it as he used to work in a Jello and Marshmallow factory and helped make the Jello and Marshmallows.
He said did you know that Marshmallows and Jello contain pork?
I said no and he said it sure does.
That surprised me.
