Is it okay to burn lumber scraps in a wood stove?

I heat my home with wood and I have some free wood from an old house that was torn down that I can get.

The wood is all in a pile and the guy can dump the wood in my backyard and I can cut it up and burn it in my wood stove to heat my house.

Is it safe to burn this old lumber from an old house in my wood stove?

Yes you can burn lumber in your wood stove. I burn lumber a lot in my wood stove and have for many years without a problem.

Just don't burn treated wood.
