The longer a toddler uses a pacifier the more chances your child has at getting tooth decay and crooked teeth.

Pacifiers have also shown to cause delay in speech in some children.

You should get rid of the pacifier before your child turns 1 year old. You'll have a better chance of getting rid of it without a fight when the child is 1 year old or less.

If you wait to get rid of the pacifier then you'll likely have a struggle with your toddler to get rid of the pacifier.
