Yes smoked does mean cooked.

When the meat has been properly smoked the meat is cooked and can safely be eaten even without heating the meat up.

A lot of hams come smoked such as smoked ham and if you buy smoked ham the smoked ham is fully cooked and ready to eat.

I always buy the smoked ham so I don't have to cook it beforehand.

All I do is put the smoked ham in the oven for around 15 minutes which heats the smoked ham up enough for it to be enjoyable.

The smoked ham also tastes better than just ham that you bake in the oven.

So if you buy smoked meat it's cooked and can safely be eaten.
