However most Turkeys in the wild get hunted and killed for food so that shortens the Turkeys life.
But if a Turkey does not get killed in the wild then they can usually live up to 10 years as well.
A Turkey usually lives less than a dog or cat does.
Turkeys have pretty short lives when it's compared to humans, dogs, cats and other animals.
So whether or not you kill the turkey for food or not the turkey would die pretty soon anyway.
