Commercial dishwashers heat the water up to a really hot temperature to clean the dishes.
But I've never known a residential dishwasher to have any water heaters in them unless they're special ordered ones or some expensive models.
Most dishwashers get their hot water from your main water heater. I do know that dish washers have a drying heating element that dries the dishes though.
