Yes washing your hands is much better and more effective at killing germs and viruses than hand sanitizer is.

Hand sanitizer is a good product that kills germs and viruses when you have no access to antibacterial soap and water.

But the hand sanitizer is not as effective at killing germs and viruses than the soap and water is.

Scrubbing your hands, arms etc with soap and water kills germs and viruses better and the germs and viruses also get washed off your hands and arms and goes down the drain.

The hand sanitizer also does not remove dirt or other grime from your hands but instead only really kills the germs and viruses.

So you should still wash your hands with soap and water to keep them clean.

Hand sanitizer is usually on effective at killing the germs and viruses that are on your hand at the time you apply the hand sanitizer.

When using hand sanitizer make sure to apply enough and rub it around your hands so that it kills the germs and viruses on your entire hand.

There could be viruses and germs on other parts of your hand that the hand sanitizer might not have killed.

Also hand sanitizer usually loses it's effectiveness after 3 years of it being made.

Hand sanitizer that is expired is less effective at killing germs and viruses on your hands than fresh hand sanitizer.

You should also wash your hands often using hot water and antibacterial soap and scrub your arms with soap as well.

There could be germs and viruses on your arms that can get onto your hands.

That's why doctors and nurses, surgeons etc scrub and soap their arms as well as their hands.

Hand sanitizer is a good way to keep your hands clean and sanitized and kill germs and viruses when you have no access to regular soap and water.

So you can use the hand sanitizer 2 to 3 times per day or as often as you need to use it.

However too much use of hand sanitizer may cause a burning sensation or rash on your hands or dry your hands out.

So make sure you also wash your hands off with soap and hot water when possible as well.

I use hand sanitizer at least 3 times per day when I'm not near a sink but I also make sure to wash my hands 3 times per day as well especially after using the restroom, before I eat food etc.

You want to wash the hand sanitizer off your hands before touching food as well because the taste of the hand sanitizer can and will transfer to your food that you touch so wash the hand sanitizer off your hands.

Make sure to scrub your hands down really good with antibacterial soap and keep the soap on your hands and rub your hands together for a minute or so.

The longer the soap is on your hands the more effective the soap is at killing the viruses and germs.
