How long do swollen gums take to heal?

I have the top right corner of my gums swollen? What causes swollen gums and how long should it take the swelling of my gums to go down?

Swollen gums are usually related to a tooth infection so you might want to get your teeth checked by a dentist.

But swollen gums should go away within a few days to a week. If your gums are still swollen after a week then I would recommend a visit to the dentist to let them have a look and see if you might have a tooth infection.
