Will my electricity get shut off if I can only pay half of the due amount on my electric bill?

I owe $100.00 this month for electric and I'm coming up short right now to pay the full amount. Can I pay only $50.00 this month and catch up next month or will my electric get cut off if I only pay half?

Depends on your electric company and their policies but I don't think that your electric company will shut you off for owing only $50.00

It's in the best interest of the electric utility to keep your electric service on since it costs them money to send out a lineman to pull your meter.

It cost the utility money to do a truck roll to cut services off.

Also electric companies should send out a notice for disconnection and they will usually attempt to call you before disconnection.

Also November 1st is getting close now and electricity companies and other essential utility are forbidden from cutting off your services due to nonpayment.

If you're worried though you should contact the utility and let them know you'll be able to catch up the next month.
