Your Bronchioles function is to ensure that the incoming air is supplied to each alveolus.

Your alveoli are surrounded by tiny blood vessels called capillaries and It is through the thin capillary walls that oxygen enters the blood, and carbon dioxide and water leave the blood.

Your bronchioles are lined by simple cuboidal ciliated epithelium, have no hyaline cartilage or submucosal glands, and are surrounded by elastic fibers and smooth muscle.

They play a very important role in keeping you alive and healthy when you breathe in the air and without the Bronchioles we could not survive.

The human body is an amazing thing and how it functions.
