Robotic surgery is pretty safe and many people including myself have went through robotic surgery and came out of it just fine.

There is a chance that the robotic surgery machine could cause damage in the event something happens but the robotic surgeon is programmed and has been tested to operate properly and undergoes regular testing of the robot to ensure it works properly.
In the event something is wrong with the robot surgeon machine the surgeon would do the surgery manually without the robot.
However there have been 71 deaths due to robotic surgery but most surgeries with the robot go just fine.
You can always opt out of robotic surgery if you want too and even go to another hospital that will do the surgery without the robot.
