You could have problems such as a bad herniated disc or an injury to your spine from lifting something that is too heavy etc.

Or you could have pulled a muscle in your back as well.

If you constantly get pain when standing up then something is not right with your back and you should have it checked out by a doctor.

You could also be suffering from Osteoarthritis of the spine or just have normal wear and tear on your back after bending down or lifting things the wrong way.

If you use your back for lifting then you can injure your back so try to use your knees for lifting things when possible.

And if the item is too heavy for one person to lift you should ask for help to avoid straining your back.

I would highly recommend seeing a doctor to get tested and see what is actually causing your back pain.

I get that pain in my back when standing as well but my pain in my back when standing is caused by a spinal injury after a wreck.

My back hurts when I bend over or stand for longer than 20 minutes so I cannot do any work that requires standing too long.

You could have injured your spine even by lifting something wrong so I would have your back X Rayed just to be sure and find out what is causing the back pain.

It can also be caused by a pulled or strained muscle in the back too but having your back X Rayed is a good idea to find out what is happening.
