Is it safe to use a power strip with a window air conditioner?

I have a 5,000 btu window ac that I want to relocate to another window in my bedroom. But there's no outlet near the other window.
I have a power strip that will reach if I plug the ac into it?
Is it safe to use this window ac on the power strip?

A 5,000 btu ac usually is around 5 or 6 amps. So as long as the amperage rating is within the power strips limits you will be fine using it with a power strip.
