How long do I need to wait to see money from my new blog?

I'm starting a blog and want to eventually earn money through the blog via Adsense or other ad networks and I know it takes time before earning money from the blog but how long should I expect to wait before seeing money from my blog?

How long or how many years did it take for your blog or website to make money?

When creating a blog with the goal to earn money you will likely have to work on your blog for at least 4 years before seeing any kind of return and up to 7 or 8 years before the blog brings in enough website traffic for earning a living with Adsense.

In other words you won't be making a living from your blog for at least 7 years. But there's no guarantee that you will earn a living with your blog.

But you should at least start seeing some money within 4 years of working on your blog but it can differ for different blogs.
