Is it safe to buy a home near an electrical substation?
I found this beautiful home within my budget and can easily afford the payments but the only downside to the home is that behind it about 50 ft is an electrical substation?

I heard that electrical substations can cause cancer? Should I buy this home or look for another home away from the substation?

I wouldn't buy the home near the substation. The radiation put out by substations has been known to cause cancer in people.

It's just not worth the risk. I'd look at finding another house in a better location away from any substations or high voltage power lines.
