How To Sell A Website?

I have an established forum that's been online for 10 years. It does generate some income but I'm losing interest in the site and the moderation of spam is just too much for me anymore.

I'm working on another blog that I don't have to moderate as much and want to just use that for income.

So now I just want to sell this forum and get out from under it.

It rakes in around $1,000.00 a month just from adsense.

I'm sure it could make someone even more money if they just worked at it but I just don't have the time for it anymore and it's getting to be a burden to me.

How do I go about selling this website and getting the files and everything transferred to the new owner?

You can sign up at flippa.com and post it for sale on there.

To transfer the files you'd download them and place them on a server where you allow access to the files from your buyer.

That includes the folders and database.

The domain you'd have to do transfer of it through your domain provider.
