Will shared hosting work for a site with 1 to 10 thousand hits a day?
I use shared hosting at bluehost and I get 1,000 to 10,000 hits per day on my website.
Bluehost says I need to move to a vps server but I can't afford their vps web server.
How many website visitors can a shared hosting server handle and when should I move my website up to a vps?

Bluehost is not a very good host to host with anyway. But if you're getting 10,000 hits and visitors on your website per day then I do think a vps would be needed.

If you get 10,000 visitors per day you should be able to monetize your website through Adsense and make enough to pay for the vps hosting or a dedicated host and still have money left over.

A lot of people with 10,000 daily visitors a day to their site are making $100.00 per day or more.

Sign up for adsense and try to get approved to monetize your website.

For vps hosting you could go with https://www.vpsserver.com/plans/

They have vps servers starting at $5.00 per month. But I'd recommend to get the 1GB ram vps for that many website visitors.
