My house has a 200 AMP incoming electrical service. But what about data centers?
How many amps comes into a data center? I imagine the electrical meter box has to be huge to cope with all the electricity a data center uses.

A data center probably uses higher voltages for the main incoming lines decreasing the amperage coming in.

Higher voltage means that you can use less amps and smaller incoming wires. Then you lower the voltage again once they get inside the data center and use the same size wire as we use in our houses.

They have lots of transformers and other power supplies in the data center as well as battery backup and generators in case of power outage or other natural disaster.
