Why do people rob banks when they know they'll get prison time?
Why do people still rob banks and stores when they know that they'll eventually get caught and will serve a long prison sentence such as 20 years?

Why would someone want to rob someone for a little money and face 20 years of prison time?

I heard of someone robbing a store and only got $500.00 but was caught the same day and will serve 15 years for that robbery?

$500.00 is not worth losing 15 years of my freedom. That's 15 years that I can never get back. Sitting in a prison cell for 15 years without any freedom for $500.00 is certainly not worth it and you can't use the money you stole.

They're just stupid. Anyone with any common sense would know that the outcome of robbing a bank or any other place would not be worth it.

The money from robbing a bank would be worthless anyway as they have a dye that colors the money and the persons hands that will identify the robber.

And the only way to remove the colored dye is by some special made soap that only the law enforcement centers can get.

As the saying goes. You can't fix stupid. Some people just don't have common sense or do the robbing because they think they have to fit in and look like a tough guy.

Or they're clearly just not thinking.
