Why does time slow down or seem to slow down when you're waiting for something to happen or waiting for something such as a package to arrive?

It doesn't really go any slower. Time goes at the same speed. It just feels slower because you're most likely watching the clock tick by and your excited for something to happen.

It's just our perception of time. Once the event is over and you're not waiting for the time to go by then time zooms by and you think. WOW has it been that long since that event happened.

It' just all in our minds.
