My electric bill in the summer runs $400.00 a month with the central air conditioner
running nonstop.

How can I keep my electric bill in the summer lower?

Try lowering the temperature on your thermostat to a lower temperature that your comfortable with.

Some people keep there thermostat and air conditioner on a cold temperature that is colder than necessary which results in higher electric bills.

I keep my Air conditioner thermostat at around 70F which is cool enough for me.
