If you have a contract phone through AT&T you can get a copy of the text messages by going to your Google Chrome web browser go to www.att.com/messages. And yes you can see every word in the sent and received text messages.
Your text and picture messages can also be backed up in the cloud for up to 90 days.
And you can download your messages when you buy a new AT&T Backup & Sync-capable smartphone.
