It is OK for a kid to be a furry as long as it does not interfere with their daily lives and they are not overly obsessed by it.

Kids have always been fascinated by anthropomorphic animals of the cartoons they've grown up with, only now they have a means of publicly expressing this interest with thousands of other people who are similarly interested.

A furry person is someone who likes anthropomorphic animals.

Furries often strongly identify with anthropomorphic animals and create fursonas, identities of themselves as those anthropomorphic animals

Furries are what you call someone who likes anthropomorphic animals.

Other words for anthropomorphism are having the form of a human, humadoid, humanlike and anthropomorphous.

The problems with anthropomorphism are the misinterpretation of animal behavior may trigger intense human–animal conflicts.

Also anthropomorphic behavior is often also not supported by scientific knowledge, but rather by the human intrinsic need to relate with someone that is easily understandable and that easily understands us.

The reason humans anthropomorphize animals is to reinforce the human-animal connection, display empathy towards their companion animals, and show care and interest in their well-being.

When you humanize animals it's called anthropomorphism which is the use of human characteristics to describe or explain nonhuman animals.

The reason anthropomorphism is problematic is because of the tendency to read animals based on human ways of thinking and behaving can lead people to exaggerate the similarities and misunderstand the meaning of animal behavior or even project their own personality characteristics onto animals.

The 4 types of anthropomorphism are symbolic, analogical, literal and metaphorical.

Literal anthropomorphism is when something either has a human form or the behavior of a human.

The concept of anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities.

Anthropomorphism is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology.

An example of anthropomorphism would be the Disney Characters such as Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse or even teapot, clock and candlestick in Beauty and the Beast.

Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities.

It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology.

Personification occurs when something nonhuman is described with human characteristics.

Anthropomorphism refers to a nonhuman entity consciously behaving like a human.

Anthropomorphism can lead to an inaccurate understanding of biological processes in the natural world,

Among people who study dogs or any other animal this is considered to be a cardinal sin.

The word anthropomorphism comes from comes from the Greek words anthro for human and morph for form and it is meant to refer to the habit of attributing human qualities and emotions to non-human beings.

Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human characteristics to nonhuman entities, objects, or concepts.

It results in ambiguity or misleading communication and thus should be avoided in APA style.

Anthropomorphism can lead to an inaccurate understanding of biological processes in the natural world,”

Anthropomorphism is seen by some supporters of animal rights as internal to specism, that tends to neglect the genuine features of animal species, conflating them in relation to humans only.

The inverse process of anthropomorphism is dehumanization, whereby people fail to attribute humanlike capacities to other humans and treat them like nonhuman animals or objects.
