An example of robbery would be (Jane is sitting at a park with her purse sitting next to her.

Then Bob runs up to and pushes Jane out of the way, grabs Jane's purse and then runs away.)

Another example of robbery is someone goes into a bank and with or without a gun demands money and then gets the money and takes off.

The person still would be charged with robbery even if they didn't get any money.

Robbers choose their victims by searching for victims that are likely and appear to have valuables and or money.

Robbers typically choose rich people or even tourists or students and also target people that appear to be the most vulnerable such as young adults or elderly at ATM machines or those under the influence of alcohol.

The 3 styles of robbery are planned operation robbery, selective raid robbery and ambush robbery.

The most serious type of robbery is aggravated robbery is robbery that occurs under the most serious circumstances and most often requires a deadly weapon being used or the perpetrator inflicted serious bodily harm to the robbery victim.

The most feared type of robbery is armed robbery that is committed with the use of a deadly weapon, like with a knife, gun or other object that causes harm which can also be a golf club, baseball bat or brick etc.
