I like to keep my house warm during the day in the winter so I keep my thermostat on my furnace set at 76 F during the day but at night to save money on my heating bills I lower the thermostat to 65 F which is warm enough for me.
I just add a nice comforter and a couple more layers of blankets and I'm warm enough and sometimes I get too hot.
I then turn the thermostat back up in the morning when I wake up but if I'm gone to work I turn it down to 50 F to save even more money.
