A wood pellet stove will use around one bag of pellets per 24 hours to heat your home with per stove.
And a bag of wood pellets here is $5.60 per 40 lb bag before taxes so it would take $168.00 per month to heat my home with wood pellets which is not bad.
But for me natural gas is just as cheap and you don't have to lug wood pellets into the house so I wouldn't be saving much.
Now if you need a second stove then the cost will double to $336.00 per month to heat with wood pellets.
My natural gas bill has only went as high as $300.00 for one month during the coldest month heating with natural gas so I will just stick with natural gas heating.
