In my experience fuel oil was much more expensive to heat my home with than natural gas.

I used to live in a house that only had a fuel oil fired furnace and it costs me $6,000.00 per year to heat the 2,500 square foot home with the heating oil which was expensive.

After I moved out of that house and into a home of the same size using natural gas furnace I only pay $1,800.00 per year to heat a home of the same size.

Also with fuel oil there's really no monthly bill unless you get signed up to pay monthly with the fuel oil delivery company.

I used to have to pay $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 every time the fuel oil tank needed to be filled back up.

So with natural gas heating vs heating oil I save $4,200.00 per year when heating my home which is a good savings.

If you can go with natural gas to heat your home instead of heating oil.
