Is It Wrong for Older Kids to Use Pacifiers?

I've seen kids from 4 years old and all the way up to 6 to even 9 or 10 years old still using pacifiers during the day when shopping in stores?

I could understand maybe a 4 year old still having a pacifier in his mouth but to see 6 to 9 and even 10 year old kids still sucking on and using a pacifier in public?

Is it wrong for those older kids to still be using a pacifier?

They do make medical pacifiers for older kids and even adults to use for speech therapy and other therapy reasons so if they have those problems and need to use the pacifier for medical reasons then it's okay for those older kids to use the pacifier.

But if the kid has no need medically for the pacifier then the kids older than 4 are way too old to still be sucking on a pacifier and the parents should be forcefully removing the pacifier from them.

I'm sure those kids get made fun of in public for still using a pacifier and that can't be good either.

Age 4 is also pushing it on the too old of an age for a pacifier and pacifiers if used should be removed from the baby before or after the baby turns 1 year old before they get old enough to really put up a fight over the pacifier.

Once they get on the pacifier it's hard to break them from the pacifier the older the kid gets.
