Yes a person on disability payments can indeed be sued and have to pay for what they were sued for if the judge orders you to pay once sued.
However the amount you can be sued for while on disability is usually limited unlike if you were working a job.
So you can be sued while on disability but the person suing you is limited to the amount they can actually sue you for.
