A tooth extraction can bleed for 2 to 3 hours although you may still have some blood tinged saliva for 24 to 48 hours after the tooth extraction.

If you have heavy bleeding or it continues after 2 to 3 hours you can use a moistened tea bag that is placed on the extracted tooth site and apply pressure or bite down on the tea bag firmly for 30 minutes which stops the bleeding.

You do not need to sleep with gauze in your mouth after tooth extraction as it could cause you to choke on it and be uncomfortable.

You should only need to keep the gauze in your mouth for a few minutes or so after the tooth extraction unless it begins bleeding again.

The hardest tooth to pull out is the wisdom tooth also called the third molar tooth because of the location and anatomy and the fact that lower molars or wisdom teeth have multiple nerves which makes removing them from your jawbone difficult.

Pulling a tooth usually takes 20 minutes to 40 minutes depending on how hard the tooth is to pull or extract.

Things you must not do up to 24 hours after a tooth extraction are smoke, rinse your mouth vigorously, slurp liquids or soups, drink with a straw, suck on candy or ice pops.

The bottom teeth or lower teeth are the harder to remove teeth as they have multiple roots which make them more difficult to remove from the jawbone.

The roots of your lower molar teeth are also usually curbed or even twisted which makes the tooth extraction more difficult.

The reason teeth are so hard to pull out is because of the angle of the teeth and the solidity of the jawbone and the fact of dealing with multiple roots at once.

The jaw width, shape of teeth, gum lines and size of teeth can also factor into how hard it is to extract a tooth.

Wisdom teeth are the hardest to remove.

You can eat 3 hours after a tooth extraction but not before 3 hours as it can disturb the surgical site and delay healing.

A simple tooth extraction is not painful at all as you will be numbed before the tooth is extracted.

However you might feel some slight discomfort during the tooth extraction but it should be painless.

A tooth extraction costs between $130.00 to $250.00 depending on the dentist and if any complications result.

Impacted tooth extractions can cost more and cost anywhere from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00

A tooth extraction is a dental procedure during which your tooth is completely removed from its socket.

If you have health insurance and the tooth extraction is medically necessary then your health insurance may pay for the tooth extraction.

The recovery time to recover from a tooth extraction depends on the complexity of your tooth extraction.

However, most people feel back to normal in just a few days after the tooth extraction.

While you'll be able to return to routine activities within 48 to 72 hours, it usually takes the jawbone several weeks to heal completely.

A tooth extraction is not very painful although you may feel some slight discomfort.

Impacted wisdom teeth are the most painful teeth to extract.

Impacted wisdom teeth are wisdom teeth that have failed to erupt properly.

They are generally considered to be the most difficult teeth to extract.

The higher the degree of impaction, the more difficult the extraction.

However, experienced oral surgeons can perform this procedure efficiently and comfortably.

After a tooth extraction you should avoid hot or warm foods immediately after the tooth extraction.

Also, it's best if you don't eat anything for at least an hour after the extraction.

You only need to consume soft foods and liquids 24 hours after the procedure.

Eat only easy-to-chew foods and gradually ease into your regular diet.
