A catalytic converter is located under the car attached to the exhaust system and is in front of the muffler.
The catalytic converter is usually about 2 to 3 feet under the car after the exhaust pipe leaves the engine and exhaust manifolds.
The first thing will be a catalytic converter which is further up front towards the engine and the muffler will be towards the back near the tailpipe.
