Palm fronds symbolize eternal life, peace, victory and triumph and originate in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world.

The palm was sacred in Mesopotamian religions and in ancient Egypt represented immortality.

The biblical meaning of palm leaves is peace, eternal life and triumph.
