Luvs diapers are made of plastic and also spandex elastic and also SAP or Super Absorbent Polymer which is the absorbent material that absorbs the pee.

Luvs diapers do not contain any latex and are elementally chlorine free and are also hypoallergenic.

Luvs diapers do have a wetness indicator that changes color and turns blue when wet.

The wetness indicator turns blue when the baby has wet their diaper but it does not mean the diaper is full.

Just because the wetness indicator turns blue on contact with the wetness it does not mean the diaper needs changed yet.

My 2 year old son wears Luvs diapers and the wetness indicator turns blue when he pees just a little bit.

He can then wet the diaper again another few times before it needs changing.

So while the wetness indicator can be helpful it's not always a good indicator of when to change a diaper.

I change my 2 year olds diaper every 3 hours to 4 hours or when it's full or when he has pooped.

Luvs diapers are good diapers although not very good for at night.

At night I use the Gentle Steps diapers from Dollar general on my 2 year old son which are more absorbent.

But Luvs diapers are good for daytime use.

Luvs diapers are also made by Pampers which is Procter and Gamble.

The Luvs are basically a cheaper version of the pampers diapers.

If your baby or toddler wets through Luvs diapers at night or during the day then I would recommend the Gentle Steps diapers from dollar general.

I may even switch my 2 year old to the gentle steps diapers soon as well as they are a bit cheaper and are really absorbent as well.
