The flu virus can survive on surfaces for up to 24 hours.

During the flu season be sure to clean surfaces often especially if someone who is contagious with the flu has touched the surfaces.

Never share cups or anything else with the person who's infected with the flu and wash the cups and other dishes with very hot water to kill off the flu virus.

On tissues the flu virus only lives for up to 15 minutes.

Always wash your hands after you blow your nose or touch your nose or cough and wash your hands often with really warm water and antibacterial soap to kill the flu virus.
