Do snakes live in holes in the ground?

Snakes don't typically make their own holes since most snakes go through existing holes created by mice, chipmunks and any other small animals.

Although some snakes do burrow in these already existing holes but they do not make the holes themselves but yes some snakes do live in some of those holes in the ground.
