To become a Geriatric Nurse you must first complete a Registered Nursing Program at the associates and Bachelor's degree level.

And you must get your Registered Nurses License. Becoming a Geriatric Nurse takes up to 3 years because you'll need at least two years of Nursing experience 2,000 hours minimum of Clinical practice in the specialty of Geriatric nursing within the last 3 years.

Geriatric Nurses work in Nursing Homes as well as Hospitals and work with Elderly Patients.
