When your cars engine runs out of oil your engine will not be able to get the lubrication it needs and the engine will eventually seize up or throw a rod through the oil pan or your main bearing will go out.
Just know that when your cars engine runs completely out of oil completely then your engine will eventually seize up.
The engine might start knocking first and making some other rattling and other sounds and then the engine will lock up and be destroyed.
