The best cold medicine I find that works for me when I have a runny nose is Excedrin cold and flu medicine which helps for both the cold and helps to stop the runny nose.
Any cold medicine that contains antihistamines should work fine for clearing up a runny nose.
You can also make a saline solution or buy salt saline solution and use a Neti Pot or something else to rinse your nose out with the saline solution to help get rid of and stop the runny nose.
