A senior citizen only has to file income tax if they earn more than $25,000.00 per year.
However if you're living on social security income than you don't have to include that income in your tax return.
If you earn more than $25,000.00 per year then you need to report that income on your tax return and your social security benefits may be reduced for taxes.
