You can buy some termite pesticides at your local hardware stores or other home improvement stores that you can spray around your home as a termite barrier.
Orange Oil Extract is highly effective at killing termites.
To kill termites with orange oil drill holes in the wood where termites are and then inject some orange oil into the hole in the wood.
It may take a few days to a few weeks to fully kill all the termites but it will work.
Another way to get rid of termites on your own is to use boric acid.
Mix boric acid and water together and use a paint brush to apply the boric acid and water to the wood surfaces where the termites are and any other wood surfaces that you might think that termites may try to get to.
The boric acid will kill the termites by damaging their nervous system.
You can also make a wet cardboard trap with a cardboard box. Take a cardboard box and get it wet and place the cardboard near where the termites are and when the box is full dispose of it by burning the cardboard box if possible to kill off the termites.
You can also put boric acid in the box after you wet the box down to kill the termites.
