Your tooth could be hurting only at night due to the way the blood flows when you're lying down.
When you lay down all the blood flows towards your face and head and that can cause pressure to be placed on sensitive areas where your toothache is.
Another cause could be due to grinding your teeth during the day or not getting all the food out of your teeth after eating which can cause tooth pain at night.
