A baby is usually ready to move from a size 1 diaper and wear a size 2 diaper by the time they weigh 12 pounds.
A baby usually is ready to move to a size 2 diaper around 2 months of age and then usually by 6 months of age the baby is ready to move up to a size three.
Of course babies are different and could need a size bigger sooner than another baby.
