You can apply for and receive unemployment compensation for quitting your job but it depends on the reason you quit your job.
If you quit your job without a good enough cause then you'll not be eligible for unemployment compensation but if you do have a good enough reason for quitting the job then you should be able to qualify for and receive your unemployment benefits.
